We all want to feel appreciated, loved, and genuinely cared for but family and friends. But sometimes, having that isn’t enough. While love applies to more than intimacy, we all, want ONE person to think the world of us, to tell us we’re beautiful/ handsome, to begin and end our days with, so we look for love.
There’s nothing wrong with desiring to be special to someone. The trouble comes when need that feeling so much that you go from person to person, relationship after relationship to fulfill that attention that’s denied you.
Failed relationships and lost “love” comes with lessons. Lessons, that if we accept them, strength and empowerment will follow. But you can’t learn those lessons if you never give yourself time to.
Down time between relationships is necessary; to assess the damage, rebuild your emotions and your mind, to analyze what you can and can’t deal with, and revise your standards if necessary.
We all want love and it doesn’t always last, but allow yourself to learn the lessons it can teach. #DoBeBetter
